Command Services was a key contractor to Fletchers in the construction and delivery of Meridian's new head office on the Wellington waterfront. As a Green Star Office Design Five Star rated building, the mechanical plant and associated control systems were one of the most important contributors to providing Meridian with a benchmark-setting office that is both energy efficient and a delight to work in. With complex solar shading and opening window systems integrated with an HVAC system consisting of heat pumps, air handlers and chilled beams, the overall system provides an exciting, fresh environment which is expected to deliver improved productivity, occupant satisfaction and staff retention as well as reduced absence through sickness. The team at Command Services and their sub contractors have shown that they can deliver all aspects of such systems to the highest standards.
